  • May 2023

    M1: Project kick-off and website launch

    The project officially kicks off with a first meeting among all the partners at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia; together, the consortium charted a path for the first few months, discussed important issues to come, and showcased the first results, including the project website.

  • August 2023

    First Publication of the Project

    The project participates at the International Conference of Applied Mathematics & Computer Science (ICAMCS) in Greece, presenting the paper "SmartCHANGE: AI-based long-term health risk evaluation for driving behaviour change strategies in children and youth" (published through IEEE).

  • September 2023

    D3.1: Participatory design research protocol

    This deliverable provides information on the participatory research trajectory. It contains an overview of the development of the two applications in all four study sites within the three relevant stakeholder groups (healthcare practitioners, families and adolescents). It provides a framework for the research as well as an initial timeline, research goals and suggested activities to address them.

    M2: Participatory design protocol and ethical approvals

    The project has prepared the protocol to follow for the participatory design phase and has submitted the necessary ethical approvals.

  • December 2023

    Two publications on federated learning

    USI publishes two conference papers on Federated Learning at the 22nd International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia. Both deal with Cognitive Workload Estimation, but one paper focuses on Unsupervised Personalisation and the other on Privacy Awareness.

    M3: First participatory design results, datasets, framework of health determinants and early models + Publication on Federated Behavioural Planes

    The project starts receiving inputs from its participatory design efforts, as well as aggregating and analysing datasets and health frameworks. Another publication is made on the topic of Federated Behavioural Planes.

  • June 2024

    D2.4: SELP impact assessment + D3.2: Initial trustworthy AI design

    Two more essential Deliverables are completed, laying the groundwork for the regulatory compliance and initial development of the App.

  • July 2024

    D3.7: UX design and prototypes of the mobile and web application + Web1: AI in Healthcare webinar: The AI Act and other Regulatory Issues

    Another deliverable on the App is finalised. Additionally, the first webinar of the project is jointly organized with AI4HF and DataTools4Heart.

  • October 2024

    Pub 3: AI in Healthcare: The AI Act and other Regulatory Issues + Pub 4: SmartCHANGE Risk Prediction Tool: Demonstrating Risk

    An in-depth post-event report is produced for the joint webinar, addressing the deep questions raised during the event. Additionally, the Coordinating partner produces a publication on the project's Risk Prediction Tool.

    M4:AI methods integrated into the initial SmartCHANGE solution + Web2: Co-design across borders webinar: insights from Large-Scale Multi-Stakeholder collaboration in Healthcare tool design

    The predictive AI models developed during the projects are integrated into the initial version of the SmartCHANGE solution. Additionally, the project holds its second webinar, this time on International Co-Design processes.

  • June 2025

    M6: Study wrap-up after results implementation

    The project produces a landmark study overview of the results of the studies conducted so far.

  • November 2025

    M8: SmartCHANGE solution deployed with ethical approvals

    The SmartCHANGE solution has all the approvals required for its first deployment, which will provide important information on the remaining development and tuning processes.

  • May 2027

    M10: Project results analyses for future activities

    As the project wraps up with a final event, its results are analysed and showcased for future activities to exploit.
