SmartCHANGE will undertake a participatory design approach, uniting children, families, and healthcare professionals as active collaborators in the development process. Through four distinct and dynamic case studies, we explore innovative healthcare solutions across four different settings.
1) In Finland, the project involves school nurses collaborating with 14-year-olds, leveraging the synergy of education and health.
2) In the Netherlands, we integrate pediatric primary care with schools for 11 to 14-year-olds, fostering a holistic support system.
3) In Portugal, the focus is on family physicians working alongside 6 to 10-year-olds, recognizing the influence of family dynamics on health.
4) In Slovenia, a community-based approach engages various healthcare experts in a connected continuum for 6 to 10-year-olds, highlighting collective responsibility.
With approximately thirty dedicated healthcare professionals and around a hundred enthusiastic children per study site, our initiative explores feasibility, usability, and tangible health outcome improvements. This approach epitomizes our unwavering dedication to co-created, impactful healthcare solutions that resonate with the needs of those we serve.
