On 3 and 4 September 2025, SmartCHANGE participated in the Finnish Sport Sciences Conference, held at the Liikunta Building, University of Jyväskylä, Finland. This key national event brought together over 200 participants, including researchers, professionals, and practitioners, to explore the latest developments in sport and health sciences.
About the event
The Finnish Sport Sciences Conference has a long-standing tradition as a central meeting point for the sport and health research community in Finland. It provides a platform for knowledge exchange between academia, policymakers, practitioners, and students while also serving as an important training opportunity for early-career researchers.
The 2025 theme, “On Equal Footing in Physical Activity”, addressed issues of equality and inequality in physical activity and movement — from the individual level to broader societal structures. The programme featured international keynote speakers, cutting-edge research presentations, and vibrant discussions on the future of sport and health.
