From 26 to 29 August 2025, SmartCHANGE will participate in the 39th Annual Conference of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS), held in Groningen, The Netherlands. This event brings together researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers committed to advancing health psychology in the areas of prevention, practice, and policy.
About the event
The European Health Psychology Society aims to support individuals, families, and communities in effectively coping with health-related challenges. This is achieved by promoting rigorous scientific research, developing precise and evidence-based interventions, and fostering strong interdisciplinary collaborations. The theme of this year’s conference, “Putting Health Psychology to Work: Prevention, Practice and Policy”, highlights the translation of health psychology research into practical solutions that can impact public health.
SmartCHANGE at the event
On Wednesday, 27 August at 16:00 CEST, Claudia Dictus from Amsterdam University Medical Centre (VUmc) will represent SmartCHANGE during a roundtable session titled “Youth-centered co-creation in European projects – challenges and successes.” This panel discussion, organised in collaboration with the CAPRI department of VUmc, will focus on co-design methodologies involving adolescents across multiple European research projects.
Claudia’s presentation will address:
- The benefits and challenges of applying a youth-centered co-design approach in diverse cultural and national contexts
- SmartCHANGE’s co-design methodology and its role in engaging young people meaningfully in digital health tool development
- Insights gained from multi-country collaboration and recommendations for future co-creation initiatives
This session aims to provide researchers and stakeholders with valuable perspectives on the practicalities and outcomes of youth-centered participatory design in health innovation projects.
